My mom loved the television show!
Anything Dr. Kildare is so hard to find today. I was so happy to see that they actually have a new hard cover book edition. My mom is going to go nuts.

Interesting but unlike the other reviewer I don't think my granny or any 10 year old would read this book.

i have read many a history book, this rates among the finest
i was in the middle of reading this book, albeit a very specific topic, and i thought to myself, this author has something special, not only good for the academic, but obviously interesting for the casual reader, i would recommend it to anyone from your granny to your 10 year old child, etc, etc. What a read!!

Very concise, very interesting
This is one of the best history books that i own its was very interesting consise and the author is obvioulsy well informed, he should go a long way.

Well read, gripping, and a good audio book for driving.
Dr. Kildare an unlikely hero is introduced to the world. Its a different time when doctors were more respected but could do less to prevent suffering and actually heal. Its a short story (1 hour) but holds your attention to the end. Great for a drive.
